How to keep roadHoG on the road

It has been amazing to see how God has provided enough finances to purchase and build a double decker bus. Those years of expectancy coming together was an incredible experience.

The bus has now been on the road 10 months, but over the past 4 months, roadHoG has experienced a dip in donations from supporters.

Maybe your a parent and your child enjoys the experience of roadHoG. Maybe you are a local Christian concerned about young people on the streets. Whoever you are, one of the important ways of keeping the roadHoG Bus on the road is by the donation of bus tickets by supporters. Everytime a supporter donates a bus ticket, it means the bus can reach one young person that month. Each ticket costs £5 and can be donated via the post or on line.

We are pleased to report 64 tickets are regularly donated by supporters, but we need this to be 150 if we are to sustain this project. If you would like to help us reach our target this year then click HERE to find out more information.

Route 702: Somerfield’s Supermarket Car Park

Parking at the beginning of the service road at Somerfield’s/Co-operative Supermarket, the Boston Baptist Church Bus team will be there to welcome you. They have the bottom deck open only, but it is a great place to chill out.

Doors open at 7:30pm and close at 8:30pm, there will be a chance for young people in the south of Boston to drop in and catch up with friends. Why not pop in on the following evenings?

Fridays in September: 10th and 24th

Fridays in October: 8th and 22nd

Fridays in November: 5th and 19th

Route 705: Launch in Kirton

We are pleased to announce that Kirton Methodist church will be hosting roadHoG in Kirton on alternate Sunday afternoons from 4-5pm, starting on Sunday 26th September 2010.

The lower deck only will be open to receive Kirton Young People of secondary school age. There will be a free hot cup of chocolate, tea or coffee and a place to hang out with mates. The foyer, chill out lounge and prayer room will be open.

The venue is still to be announced.
