Gaming too much

Cyberpunk 2077, FIFA, Minecraft, CS:GO….the list is endless……….

“We’ve heard gaming described as a saviour to young people socially isolated from their friends in lockdown and home learning….A way to escape from the reality of this pandemic and spend sometime with friends playing some pretty cool games. It’s been brilliant!

However – as lockdown eases, schools open fully and the work load starts to increase – the virtual yearning might start to become more of an issue with our relationships and filling the ’empty’ time that is no longer there.
Many good things in life though, can become too good and soon become difficult to control. As good as gaming is, you still have got a future and a life out there, especially after Covid-19 goes!
On the bus, we’ve had things in life that get a grip on us and in our own strength they are very difficult to self control. That’s why this verse from the Bible is very helpful. It helps us know that, through faith in Jesus, God’s Spirit gives us that help to shift those stubborn habits…..”
