In the Community

In the community, roadHoG supports young people in two ways.

On the one hand the bus visits schools during the day to lead RE and Citizenship lessons with year 6-8 pupils and on the other hand it visits the community in the afternoon/evening to create a safer place on the streets.

We welcome all young people of all nationalities, backgrounds, faiths and choice of football teams! We offer a free hot drink and activities to all who come on board. A warm, clean space for young people to meet with friends. The bus hosts are from the local church and they want to be there to make sure visitors have a safe, fun time.

We now visit 10 different communities, in and around the town of Boston and in the surrounding villages:

• High Street – Boston Baptist Church Car Park
• Fishtoft – Pavilion Car Park
• Swineshead – Layby outside of St Mary’s School
• Boston Central – Market Square (Nov-Mar) & Central Park (Apr-Oct)
• Butterwick – Village Hall Car Park
• Fenside – Community Centre Car Park
• Sibsey – Outside Sibsey Free school
• Kirton – Town Hall Car Park
• Wyberton – Layby next to the Cooperative Food Store
