What one thing makes the difference to running a project like roadHoG? What essential ingredient makes all the difference?
roadHoG is a hybrid bus – runs on diesel and PRAYER !
The key to keeping this bus on the road has been PRAYER! Prayer is the place where we have the room to ask God’s movement and intervention on what is going on and we believe, and have experienced, that this has made a difference, as well a great place for building our relationship with God. Often the answer to pray doesn’t come in the way we hoped, but this where TRUST helps. The outcome might be different to our hopes, but we can TRUST God enough to know that God’s way is better than ours.
This is the reason why PRAYER has played a crucial role in advancing this project. While it has taken 24 years to reach this point, we have established a solid foundation that will enhance our strength as a project. Although the funding didn’t unfold as expected, we were pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming support from the local community in donating to our cause. Therefore, even if outcomes differ from our initial hopes, God always has something even BETTER in store for us.
We invite you to join us in prayer, not only for our project but especially for the young people we will encounter through it. Since the pandemic in 2020 and amidst the increasing number of global conflicts, the current world presents significant insecurity for young people. The combination of these events, along with the spread of fake news in the digital age, has severely affected their mental health, leaving their futures uncertain. However, we believe that each individual is created and cherished by a God who is steadfast, trustworthy, and unwavering. If you seek inspiration for your prayers, feel free to download our regular newsletters for guidance.
The bus features a small prayer room on board. You might assume that the bus’s 6.7-liter engine is the most powerful aspect, right? However, the true powerhouse of the HoG Bus is our PRAYER ROOM. This is a space where volunteers engage in prayer while the bus is active, and where young people can share their thoughts and, if they wish, receive prayer for any challenges they face. We’ve also established an ONLINE PRAYER ROOM to provide a platform for young individuals seeking prayer.
We pray, believing that God wants the best for the young people in the town of Boston and surrounding villages.
So join with us as this bus project builds up speed, we invite you to our quarterly (every 3 months) prayer meetings, usually we meet in different partner church buildings. Find out when the next prayer meeting is in our latest newsletter.
