We meet young people, who in their short lives, have been through so much more than we have ever experienced. But all of us have gone through challenges in our lives and our faith has been a big part of coming through on the other side. Please feel free to consider or ignore this additional thought:
A member of the roadHoG team shared “It felt like the end of the world for me. I was 21, my sister was 14, when my mum got her diagnosis. It was the start of a very difficult journey, but being in a church family got me through. I could talk to friends and they could pray for me”.
This has surely got to be one of the worst experiences in life and many people in our country are experiencing that grief right now. Jesus knew that he was about to suffer the most horrible death on the cross for humanity. He knew that by giving up His life, he would give life for us, and life forever. That’s why he explains to his disciples some comfort and why he was doing this in John 14: 1-4. Whatever the circumstances of your love ones death, God gives to every person the opportunity to receive that life, life with God in heaven.
