Park Run Adventure

We are pleased to let supporters know that our sponsored park run fundraiser by Tony, went really well and he is still alive to tell the tale!

Tony reported “It has been a real adventure for Lisa and I. We pulled across on the ferry with all the other runners at 9am. We arrived as strangers, but left as friends! It was a very windy run and the hills were challenging as we enjoyed the incredible scenery of Shetland. Cows running up a beck, shetland ponies munching on hay and gannets riding the strong winds. For me the toughest bit was the final push as it started to rain , was up hill and the wind full on. I was so proud of Lisa this was her first park run in three months as she has been so poorly since the summer, but she smashed this one coming in just over the 40 minute mark. For me it was just over the 25 minute mark. We had a rare treat of a coffee and cake at the end in their community cafe. A good way to mark our achievement and the £735 raised which should keep deisel in the bus for a month and a half. I’m going to miss my involvement with roadHoG. It’s been an exciting journey and I am so thankful to my saviour Jesus who started me on this journey on that day, but He has made me aware that a new chapter is coming. Just want thank everyone for sponsoring me and to everyone who makes this project – sharing the love of Jesus – possible through ministering on the bus, praying, cleaning, funding and encouraging.
