Delays in New Bus Conversion

Delays in New Bus Conversion

We’re pleased to report that the construction of the new roadHoG Bus is advancing steadily and taking shape. However, our team is currently behind schedule. Read on to find out more:

We regret to inform our supporters that the delivery of the new bus has been delayed, despite our earlier announcement that it would be arriving this January. The delay is due to various reasons such as longer lead times for essential equipment and the complexities of converting a modern double-decker bus to our bespoke specifications. In the meantime, we are grateful for the hard work and dedication of Blackpool Design Coachbuild who are doing their utmost to complete the project as soon as possible.

Our current 35-year-old bus remains in operation, enabling us to continue to serve our nine communities, although regrettably we are unable to visit schools at present. We would appreciate your prayers for the bus to remain functional without any breakdowns as the spares for a bus of this age are no longer available.

Despite this setback, we are still providing a safe space for many vulnerable young people on the streets of Boston and surrounding villages, especially during this bitterly cold time of year. We remain grateful for the unwavering commitment of our bus teams, who feel called to make this crucial service available.
